Bhutan (The Land of the Thunder Dragon) was the best vacation that I have ever had! The list of reasons could go on for days so here is just a glimpse of this outstanding trip to the Last Shangri-La.......

- Superb travel companions who were full of joy and laughter
- Fantastic, not to mention, handsome tour guide (Norbu) and fun filled bus driver (Leki)
- Stunning country that values happiness to the extent it is measured
- Undying loyalty to the King and government
- Artfully decorated slate-roofed houses with brilliant red chilies drying in the sun
- Graceful willow trees adorned with colorful prayer flags swaying in the breeze
- Gorgeous intricate textiles of silk and cotton which is worn as traditional clothes
- Long-running Tsechu (festivals) dance styles done in a repetitive way until they are in a state of meditation
- Vibrant autumn landscape complete with rushing glacier rivers
- Ancient and breathtaking Monasteries
- Meticulous rules of customs and a loving and friendly culture
- Competitive-filled archery games that last days
- Steeped in Buddhist tradition
- Snow-capped Himalayan Mountains

I can.t say enough about the tiny little-known Kingdom except if you ever get a chance of a life time to see this remarkable place...don.t hesitate to travel there.
